Teens In Environment Corporation competition will be conducted starting from February until April 2008 at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS. The participants will be given a month to complete their recycling projects. For their projects, they need to collect only used materials to produce new useful marketable products that can bring profit to the team, school and community. After a month, they have to present their reports to the judges. These reports and presentations would be evaluated based on the 6 elements in business namely, market economics, success skills, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, business ethics and sustainability. Besides learning more about the 6 elements, each team will be exposed to good communication skills and teamwork.

FIRST TO START, FIRST TO ACHIEVE, FIRST TO MOVE ALONG THE JOURNEY TO SUCCESS

 SIFE UTP brings you the first ever prestigious competition – Teens In Environment Corporation (TiEC) 2008.

 With the theme of ‘WASTE TO WEALTH’, SIFE UTP encourages secondary school students around Perak to participate in the contest. The whole idea of the competition is to bring out the awareness of recycling materials and conserving the environment among secondary school students. They will be fighting among their competitors aka rivals and depart for the champion title.

 The scope of the competition is simply a presentation of their project to the judges, with the element of 6 important key points in the SIFE world as mentioned above. They are to present their strategies and results of their contribution to the community through producing a marketable product out of the recycled materials.
