Student In Free Entreprise

Student In Free Enterprise (SIFE) is an international non-government organization, active in over 1800 colleges and universities in more than 40 countries. SIFE mobilizes teams of university students to utilize their personal educational experiences, the expertise of the faculty and business advisors, and support of SIFE sponsors to create educational outreach programs that benefit the communities and enhance personal growth of the members. The effectiveness of the educational outreach programs are measured on the SIFE National Competition and SIFE World Cup which are held annually. Our team was awarded SIFE Rookie of the Year Award during the SIFE National Competition 2007, which was held on 14 and 15 July at Carlton Holiday Hotel, Shah Alam, Selangor. Despite being a newcomer in the competition, the team’s performance had impressed the judges and the team was also awarded the SIFE Spirit Award.

SIFE UTP was invited to witness the SIFE World Cup Competition at New York three months later with other supporting teams from Malaysia namely SIFE Uniten, SIFE UKM, and SIFE MMU. During the World Cup Competition in New York, the team obtained a clearer view of the real environment of the competition in conjunction to giving moral support to Malaysian teams competing in that event.
